First 990 Target Deal results in Kuwait after 50+ registrations

990 Target Deal Results in Kuwait: 50+ Registrations and Our First Sourcing Experience

When we introduced the 🎯 990 Target Deal, we had one important question:

Would customers in Kuwait actually show their buying interest before the deal was secured?

The answer came faster than we expected.

More than 50 customers registered their interest across the first six products included in the 990 Target Deal.

Even more interestingly, the demand was not concentrated on just one product.

All six products received meaningful customer interest.

So the next step began.

Our buying team reviewed the demand and activated the 990 Suppliers Network to try to secure the products under the required Target Deal conditions.

And the results taught us a lot.

You showed the demand.
We activated the 990 Suppliers Network.
Now we are sharing the real result.

If you are new to the concept, start here:

πŸ‘‰ What Is the 990 Target Deal? A Simple New Way to Find Better Deals in Kuwait

🎯 First, What Were We Trying to Test?

The idea behind the 990 Target Deal is simple.

Instead of always sourcing products first and then trying to find customers, we wanted to understand the customer demand first.

Customers register their interest with no payment required at the registration stage.

We then analyse:

  • Which products customers want
  • How much demand exists
  • Which colors or variants customers prefer
  • How many customers may be ready to buy

After understanding the demand, our buying team works through the 990 Suppliers Network to try to make the Target Deal possible.

πŸ”₯ More Than 50 Customers Joined

Our first Target Deal campaign received 50+ registrations.

One of the most encouraging observations was that customer interest was spread across all six products.

This meant the concept was not attracting customers only because of one particular smartphone or accessory.

Customers were showing interest across different types of products.

That gave us the confidence to move to the next stage:

Actual sourcing through the 990 Suppliers Network.

πŸ“¦ So, What Did We Actually Secure?

This is where the story became interesting.

The outcome was different for different products.

Product First Sourcing Result
Apple AirPods Pro 3 (Middle East Version) βœ… More quantity secured than the current registered demand
iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB (Middle East Version) – Cosmic Orange βœ… More quantity secured than the current registered demand
HUAWEI FreeClip 2 🟑 Successfully sourced in Rose Gold only
HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max 5G+ 512GB 🟑 Successfully sourced in Graphite Black only
HONOR Magic V6 🟑 Successfully sourced in Red & Gold only
Galaxy Z Fold8 5G 512GB ❌ We could not secure a unit under the required Target Deal conditions

These were the results of our first sourcing round.

And each result taught us something important about how the 990 Target Deal should work.

βœ… Two Products Were Easier to Secure Than Expected

For the Apple AirPods Pro 3 (Middle East Version) and the iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB (Middle East Version) in Cosmic Orange, our buying team was able to secure more quantity than the current registered demand.

This is an important outcome.

It shows that sometimes customer demand can be identified first, while the 990 Suppliers Network may allow our buying team to secure enough quantity to serve that demand β€” and sometimes even more.

Registered customers still receive priority according to the applicable Target Deal process.

🎨 Three Products Were Secured β€” But Not in Every Color

Our first campaign also taught us that:

Securing the product and securing every preferred color are not always the same thing.

For example:

  • HUAWEI FreeClip 2 was secured in Rose Gold only.
  • HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max 5G+ 512GB was secured in Graphite Black only.
  • HONOR Magic V6 was secured in Red and Gold only.

Some registered customers had shown interest in other colors as well.

We believe customers should have the choice.

If their preferred color cannot be secured, an eligible customer may be offered one of the available colors.

The customer can then choose to:

  • βœ… Accept an available color, or
  • ⏳ Wait for another opportunity for the preferred color.

We do not want to silently substitute a customer's preferred color.

When quantities, colors or variants are limited, registration priority becomes especially important. Learn how First Come, First Served works in the 990 Target Deal.

❌ And One Product Could Not Be Secured at All

This is perhaps the most important part of our first Target Deal story.

There was customer demand for the Galaxy Z Fold8 5G 512GB.

But during our first sourcing attempt, we could not secure even one unit under the required Target Deal conditions.

So we did not call the deal successful.

We could have talked only about the products we successfully secured.

But that would not give customers a complete picture of how the 990 Target Deal really works.

Transparency Matters.

When we secure it, we tell you.
When we can't, we tell you that too.

This is an important principle we want to maintain as the 990 Target Deal develops.

🀝 Why Is Sharing an Unsuccessful Deal Important?

Because a Target Deal Price is a target.

It should not be presented as a guaranteed selling price until the required product has been successfully secured.

The Target Deal can therefore have different outcomes:

βœ… Successfully Secured

The required product is sourced and eligible customers are contacted.

🟑 Partially Secured

The product is available, but perhaps only in selected colors, variants or quantities.

❌ Not Secured

We cannot secure the required product under suitable Target Deal conditions.

In that case, we communicate the result instead of pretending the deal exists.

⏱️ Why Does Registration Time Matter?

Sometimes the number of registered customers may be greater than the quantity we can secure.

In such situations, the original registration timestamp helps determine customer priority.

In simple words:

First Come, First Served β€” based on registration time.

Final allocation remains subject to customer confirmation, the available quantity and the relevant product or variant.

That is why customers who are genuinely interested may benefit from registering early.

πŸ“Š What Did We Learn From Our First 50+ Registrations?

Lesson 1: Customers Are Willing to Show Demand First

Our first 50+ registrations suggest that customers are willing to tell 990store what they want before the Target Deal is finally secured.

Lesson 2: Demand Was Spread Across Different Products

Interest was not limited to just one smartphone or accessory.

All six selected products attracted meaningful customer interest.

Lesson 3: Color Availability Matters

A product may be successfully sourced while a particular customer's preferred color may not be available.

Future Target Deals therefore need to communicate variant availability clearly.

Lesson 4: Not Every Target Deal Will Necessarily Succeed

The Galaxy Z Fold8 result showed us why the word β€œTarget” matters.

We try to make the deal possible, but we should not guarantee an outcome before successful sourcing.

Lesson 5: Transparency Can Be Part of the Deal

We believe customers should see the actual result β€” not just successful advertisements.

The first results helped us understand both the opportunities and the limits of the 990 Target Deal. If you are still learning how the concept works, start with our simple 990 Target Deal explainer . If you are ready to see current opportunities, view the latest 990 Target Deals in Kuwait .

🎯 So, Did the First 990 Target Deal Work?

From our point of view, the first test gave us encouraging signals.

We received:

  • πŸ”₯ More than 50 registrations
  • πŸ“± Customer interest across all six products
  • βœ… Successful sourcing for multiple products
  • πŸ“¦ More stock than current demand for two products
  • 🎨 Real lessons about color and variant availability
  • ❌ One clear example where the Target Deal could not be secured

Most importantly, we learned more about what customers actually want before making future Target Deal decisions.

πŸš€ What Happens Next?

Final Thought

Our first 50+ registrations taught us something important.

Customers do not always have to wait for a retailer to decide what the next deal should be.

Sometimes, customer demand itself can help guide the opportunity.

You show us what you want.
